How long before ImperialMed will pay the bill?

This matter has been ongoing since the end of September when I received the first notice from Pathcare to inform me that ImperialMed had not paid for the blood tests done. I spoke to the Maternity Programme officer, who asked me to get a letter in writing from my doctor stating the reason why I had had the tests done. This was duly done and I submitted the letter.
I was then informed that the tests had been approved and that the account would be paid. Contact was made with someone in Claims who confirmed that the outstanding monies would be paid to Pathcare.

At the end of November I received further notice from Pathcare informing me that monies were outstanding. I again phoned ImperialMed and spoke to numerous people in claims and in the Maternity Programme. The Maternity Programme officer got back to me and confirmed that the outstanding monies would be paid to Pathcare. She also confirmed that all this was detailed in archives on this medical aid number.

It is now the end of December and I have received notice from Pathcare AGAIN saying that the monies have not been paid AND final notice to inform me that if not paid then I will be handed over to the Credit Bureau.

Hello leeg2015,

We confirm that contact was made with both Pathcare and yourself.

We are pleased to confirm that the amount of R4 887.22 will be settled at the claims run date on 15 January 2016. The amount of R459.60 for code 4671 was rejected as only 4 tests per day are allowed.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards
The Metropolitan Health Team
