Warning!!! Stay Away From Metro Fibre

As an ex network provider staff member, and currently an IT manager aiming to give good service delivery to the Public via the support I offer to a Government Department, I am disgusted at the pathetic levels of service delivery from Metro fibre. I have had my fibre line down for more than 5 days now and after 39 calls, 6 emails, 4 of those calls today another online chat with one of their staff, I am now going into the 6th day with out internet. They have not responded to any of my emails and only 4 of the 39 calls, that which I held on, on average 20mins or so each time, was I called back and each time they blame another company and say that they are on their way to my complex. They show no remorse and have no accountability to customers paying for a service. There are many residents in my complex whose lines went down after my line and there service has been fixed already because they bought their Metro Fibre Internet from another Service Provider and Not Metro Fibre directly. It was I, that made the mistake of going directly to Metro Fibre thinking I would get good service. I was so wrong. this happened to me 3 times last year as well. There is still an open ticket that I logged, that goes unnoticed everyday for 5 days now. I even asked them on the phone and online chats to give me and email address for escalation and for that request as well, no reply. I am waiting for the line to be switched back on so that I can go to the accounts department and ask them to give me credit from the time the line is switched back on until it initially went off. Once I get the credit - which may take some time, I am going to cancel my service and buy Fixed LTE for my home instead of Fibre. In my complex Metro Fibre owns all the Fibre lines and therefore I must move away from Fibre. You would think as a sole provider of Fibre lines to the whole complex they would care more, but that is far from the case.

Reviewer Update
Metro Fibre,
As of 14 February 2026, my internet has been down for over a week. During this time, I have made 45 calls to your support line. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved.
Each time I speak to a consultant, I am told that you are waiting for Link Africa to attend to the repair. I have attempted to contact Link Africa directly, but I have been unable to obtain any assistance from them either. As your customer, I should not be forced to chase third parties to resolve a service failure on your network.
What is most concerning is the complete lack of proactive communication from Metro Fibre. I have not received a single return call or meaningful update regarding this matter. I am paying for a service that I am not receiving, and the absence of accountability or urgency from your side is unacceptable.
Please advise immediately:
  • Who is the responsible escalation contact within Metro Fibre?
  • What is the confirmed timeline for resolution?
  • What compensation or service credit will be app**** for this prolonged outage?
If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will proceed with formal escalation through the appropriate regulatory and consumer channels. I expect a prompt and definitive response.
