No service from switching ISP
Changing isp seems to be an issue on the metro fiber portal. What I expected to be a quick change with maybe 1 or 2 hours downtime is now turning out to be a nightmare. 5 days on I still have no internet due to the metro fiber portal not being able to load me on apparently this according to rsaweb. Yet I was on their system with another isp real broadband. What should be a routine switch by punching in a couple of keys seems not to be the case. These companies don't seem to grasp how dependent one becomes on your fiber line from working remotely to streaming tv.

17 Sept 2019, 14:21Thank you metrofibre for sorting out the issue this morning. For future reference, there is clear disconnect between your department and isp's that want to board clients on your network portal. Major clean up is needed on your coverage map and where installs have been completed. There also needs to be explantation to the isp's what router can be used with your ONT device and there is two that is issued one that is metrofiber locked and the smaller unit that allows an isp router to be added. This communication would solve a lot of issues down the line when switching isp's
