Metrofibre - frequent lack of internet supply

Metrofibre network can’t really be categorized as an internet provider because they do not provide internet for much of the time. The internet service has been going down every few days for many months now… the current stretch with no fibre has been going on for 3 days now. I also had a problem with the actual hardware of the router which I’m told a technician will be around to fix soon. But that is also useless if the router works but there is still no internet service to the estate where I live… kind of like fixing the flat tyres on a car with no engine…
