Metro monopoly capitalists

If I could select a minus rating I would.

For the last week I have been struggling to get my fibre line moved from Afrihost to Webafrica.

At 1st I thought that Afrihost wasnt releasing my fibre line because Metrofibre said that they are still in the cancellation phase and it would only be released on the 1st of October.

Well turns out they **** about that as I spoke to Afrihost and they sent me screenshots indicating the line was cancelled at the end of August.

Well then I thought maybe they forgot to release my line so thats whats preventing the switch to a new service provider.

Well I got Afrihost to check and confirmed that the request for release was done.

I have been backwards and forwards with Webafrica and Metro to activate my line and I even got a email from webafrica assuring me that they have escalate the issue with Metro.

I have phoned Metro and I was assured by them that when the activation request comes from what ever department that issue the request at Metro comes through they will prioritize it.

Well I am still waiting. Do I need say more?

Its so sad that they can drag out their service and we have to just patiently sit by until they have time for their customers.

But I assure you the same courtesy wont be shown to us if we dragged our monthly payments until we are finally ready to settle our bill. Besides the fact that its been a 2 weeks I havent had internet. Will I be billed for half a months uncapped internet or will I have to fork out the whole months payment?

Interesting question dont you agree?

Oh and here is my last thought. Metro is the only fibre service provider here in our area. So what other option do I have but to wait until they decide when I get connected.

Anyone else having this experience?

Thank you for listening to my woes.

Keep safe and God bless

Is this one of those situations where you pacify the client with a promise and hope he goes away?

Please follow up with the WebAfrica accounts manager on the progress of activating my fibre line.

I cannot stress enough that I work from home and every hour that goes by I am loosing money.

If Metro fibre would like to reimburse me for the time I wait while the Manager gets off the loo to go and tell the guy sitting at the desk to flip a switch then by all means take as long as you wish.

Otherwise have the decency to at least give me a call and tell me what and why there is this delay.

Looking forward to your response

Thank you

Just a word of thanks,

It is important to acknowledge good service I believe.

So let me take a moment to thank you for caring enough about your customers and your reputation.

You helped me sort out the issue i a reasonable space of time and for that I commend you.

Much appreciated

Sorry about the rant
Marius :-)
