Cancelled Service Nightmare
I have had no issues with the Fibre service and support until I had to cancel my services because of moving house.
I phoned the Support team on the 15th of October, notifying them of my cancellation, as I was moving out of the property at the end of November.
The gentleman advised that I should rather send through official cancellation of the service in the beginning of the month (1st or 2nd) to avoid possible early cancellation.
I sent through the cancellation request on the 2nd of November (as the 1st was on a Sunday)
I phoned Metrofibre support on the day I moved out (30th of November) and handed the Routers back to them.
I received an invoice earlier this week, saying that I needed to pay a Pro-rata rate for the services used on the 1st and the 2nd of November, where after I phoned their accounts division. I explained that I've handed in the equipment already, and the lady said that she'll fix the error on their end.
A couple of days later I received another mail saying that I still need to pay the pro-rata rate, as I did not give them 30 Days notice. I refused as I did not use their service, and did not even have any of their equipment anymore. They just rudely blew off the reasoning from my side, and said that I must pay.
This is how they treat their customers, so beware
