Absolutely shocking migration of Infrastructure.

MetroFibre has acquired some of the infrastructure from LinkAfrica (our previous Infrastructure provider). They have started the migration in our residential area 2.5 days ago and our ONT was swapped out to a MetroFibre ONT. We have had absolutely no service since then and we get chased from pillar to post between MetroFibre, and our poor Internet Service Provider (ISP), who is caught in the middle. MetroFibre expects the end customer (that's us) to log tickets with their ISP, who in turn must log one with MetroFibre. We are expected to get circuit numbers, write emails to their Activations email address and make dozens of phone calls to try and get service - all to no avail. NOW, they tell us that there is line degradation and a new ticket has to be logged for a technician to make a call. In the meantime, still no broadband service, huge negative impact on two people working from home and apparent inability to resolve by MetroFibre - and still no broadband connectivity whatsoever. We didn't ask to switch to MetroFibre, it was forced on us. Thank goodness my ISP has much better customer service, but even they can't fix the infrastructure providers problems. Can I rate them as minus 5 stars?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, escalation is not resolution. Our fibre has now been down for three days. It was working 100% okay until your people changed the ONT on Wednesday. So why do “contractors” need to be called in? What are they going to do to “fix” a line that was working perfectly? When will the contractors actually DO anything? In the meantime, we sit without service – and I am working over the weekend as well!! Just by the way, two of my neighbours in our little four unit complex, also have no service and have not had any since Wednesday.

Well, after five days of no Internet access, the outsourced contractors came this morning. They spent almost an hour here - but we ARE now finally reconnected to the Internet. Thank you for that.
