0/5 Stars – MetroFibre & Webafrica’s Utter Incompetence: Waited a Month for a Tech Who Didn't Even Look at the Line

If I could give zero stars, I would. I work from home and rely on a functional internet connection to make a living. I pay my bill on time every single month, yet Webafrica and MetroFibre have treated a severe physical line fault like a minor inconvenience for months.

After waiting a full month just to get a MetroFibre technician out to my house, the visit turned out to be an absolute farce. Instead of physically inspecting the degraded fibre cable or checking the physical box, they blindly insisted that "everything is fine on their end" while my ONT unit sits right in front of me flashing a red LOS (Loss of Signal) light.

It is completely unacceptable to run remote diagnostic tests on a physically damaged line, claim it works, and then completely ignore a paying customer. The physical cable is degraded—it drops offline completely even when no one touches it because light cannot pass through the line properly.

Since opening this query, both MetroFibre and Webafrica have gone completely silent and are actively ignoring my follow-ups.

Demand for Immediate Action:

Actual Onsite Inspection: Send a competent MetroFibre field technician immediately who will actually physically inspect, re-splice, or replace the damaged fibre drop line.

Escalation: A senior support manager from Webafrica needs to call me today with confirmation of an FNO dispatch slot.

Fix this line today. I am tired of paying for a non-existent service and getting ghosted.
