Lack of empathy and assistance

I am utterly disappointed in the service at Menzies Aviation at OR Tambo International Airport. Justice Malema refused to help me. Someone accidentally took my luggage so I had their luggage and I wanted them to help me track the person.. the luggage was a sky check in so it did not have a tag so it was difficult to instantly find the person. Instead of coming up with solutions, they told me I must go home and they’ll call me when the person brings the bag back (mind you, I don’t even stay in JHB so coming back to OR Tambo is a huge inconvenience) I asked if they can search the bag to see if they can find something that may give us an idea who it belongs to, he was hesitant but eventually assisted. Only to discover that it’s a kids suitcase (which is great in my case cause there weren’t a lot of passengers who were minors so we can easily cross reference on the passenger list ) Now this is where I started losing it… I asked if they can do that and this is where the excuses started 1. it’s the school holidays, there are too many kids flying from Durban on vacation (okay I was on that flight and that wasn’t the case ???? ) 2. This is maybe an adult’s suitcase and they bought clothes for their kids (why are we assuming that ????? )

I literally had to beg him and plead with him to at least try. He kept making excuses and I felt like he didn’t want to help, he just wanted me gone. I’m so disappointed in the service I receive there and I hope I NEVER again have to experience luggage issues and deal with these *********** people.
