Melon Mobile - services broken, being worked on
Not great at all. Tried Melon out to port over from Vodacom. Tried forever to send an sms to Australia, then Belgium. They went on to live support and they said one cannot send sms's out the country and they are still working on things.
Cant move over yet. Will give this company a couple years to see if they fix up their broken services.

The service you refer to, being international calling is most definitely not broken, we see our Support Team did advise you on two separate occasions, that we do not offer international outbound calling or SMS as part of our current product offering.
We currently offer International Roaming , However we are still working on adding International outbound calls and sms. should you need any further clarity on this, Our support team will happily assist you in chat.

05 Nov 2024, 13:44Your team only advised me that your services were broken AFTER i paid for the delivery of sim, set it up, sorted out apn and then logged onto live support chat to find out why Melon wasnt working as expected.
The main reason I got the Melon sim is now broken so I dont know what others we have but to continue with the well know service providers until Melon has managed to fix their service offerings.
Just as a reminder, i was only informed from Melon team that their services are not working and they are still fixing it AFTER i went through all the missions, cost and energy to get the sim.

We do offer international roaming. As with most service providers, roaming and international services come as an extra product offering, not as a standard offering as the pricing differs to that of standard sms / call charges. At Melon Mobile we are always growing our product offering, we are sorry we do not currently sell what you are looking for and the team has assisted you with processing a refund for your purchased product.
