Misleading Information

I went to them for an eye test and subsequently to have new spectacles. I called them earlier on the week and told them I’m interested on the VC-Care package. (Package for unemployed people). I was told that it would cost me R 750 which is inclusive of the Eye test, Frame and lenses. Much to my surprise I was told that my spectacle would cost me R 11.500. I was told that my lenses are not covered by the VC-Care package. Now this is funny because in 2016 I paid R 1700 for the same VC-Care package. They have my file and all details in record, so I don't understand how it went form my lenses being covered on the package in 2016 to them not being covered in 2018. Is this as a result of them having forced MR Potgieter into early retirement? Potgieter understood customer services and he always accommodated all of his patients. He is the one who introduced me to the VC-Care package due to my unemployment status. But ever since he left the standard of service at Mellins I-Style has dropped, that new people are failing to accommodate us. Now do we have to go blind and continue to strain our eyes because we cannot afford to pay the ridiculous amounts of money they want from us. What are the directors of this company saying about this? Do they not have a moral and social responsibility towards their patients?
