Mellins I Style will rob you!!

Never ever in my whole entire life have I ever been so upset. Two years ago, I went to Mellins I Style in Somerset West to see the optometrist and advised them I was on medical aid. The receptionist took down my medical aid details and told me that the medical aid would only pay for a certain frame which I had to choose from a drawer and that they would only cover for bi-focals which I agreed to. She never ever said to me that the medical aid MIGHT NOT cover the frames and when I left after my first consultation, I assumed all was fine. The week after I collected my glasses and off I went. Not at any stage was I told that my medical would not cover the frames but now Two years later I am being threatened (so typical) by their attorney that I owe for the frames!!! ***!! Not only was this attorney spoke person or call centre agent rude but she would not allow me to state my case. Now I have been threatened that I am listed on ITC and the sheriff will come and knock on my door!! Mellins I style in general, I honestly believe that you are informing your clients incorrectly of what is covered by medical and what is not and then subsequently having to pay for the repurcussions of your actions years later and I will not tolerate it. I will be contacting the national consumer regulator before anyone else falls prey to your ******* activities.
