Disgusted - Mellins Somerset Mall

I went to Mellins in Somerset Mall for an eye test and new spectacles. I asked the lady to confirm with my medical aid how much funds was available for spectacles. When I collected my spectacles in August 2017, I was informed that my outstanding amount was R1710 and the medical aid authorized payment for the rest which was R2856. My spectacles was handed to me and I was a happy chappy. After 8 months their collections department (Barrett & Associates) contacted me, and informed me that I was handed over by Mellins for the amount of R1146. I phoned Mellins and told them that according to my knowledge and a statement received, I settled my account. After numerous phone calls and despite informing me that they fired the receptionist who was suppose to contact me, more lies followed from Mellins (Somerset Mall and Mellins Head Office). I eventually paid their collections department for my own peace of mind. I will never go back to Mellins Somerset Mall, ever again.
