Planned obsolescence - Breaks after 12 months

Kettle stopped working 13 months after purchase. This is called planned obsolescence, so if you want a product that doesn't break a couple of days after the 12 months that it's guaranteed to work, you're better off buying another brand. A number of the complaints on HelloPeter are exactly about this, that the product stops working just after 12 months.
