Kettle fell apart

Good day

All my life I have always wondered how do parents burn their children with boiling water.

Well today I experienced it myself. I was busy making myself some coffee. My daughter was next to me and my dogs around me. While pouring with water into the cup, I was left with just the handle in my hand. Luckily my daughter ran away but unfortunately for my Jackrussel. The water splashed on the floor over my legs, my dog got boiling water over her body. I got her under cold running water as fast as I could. Just hope she will be okay.

I just thank God my daughter (of 7) did not deside she is going to make me some coffee as she usually does.

I am very concerned about the safety of this kettle. I just want to bring this incident under your attention.
