Unfair Debt Review and Lasting Damage

I want to warn others about my experience with Meerkat. I was put under debt review against my will, after being misled by their consultant who told me that a company would cover all my debts. Based on that false promise, I agreed to proceed — but the truth came out later, and it was completely different from what was explained. As soon as I realized the deception, I immediately tried to cancel, before any money was deducted. But then I was told I couldn't cancel, and at the same time, they also admitted they couldn’t even assist me with what I originally needed. I was stuck — misled, blocked from reversing the process, and left with no real help. This has had a very negative impact on my life. Being placed under debt review without my full understanding or consent has damaged my credit profile, limited my financial options, and caused me a great deal of emotional and financial stress. I now have to deal with the consequences of something I never agreed to properly in the first place. I feel completely let down by Meerkat. Their lack of transparency and refusal to help me cancel something I didn’t fully agree to has caused lasting damage. I would not recommend them to anyone.
