MEERKAT INSURANCE IS A ****!

A WHOLE ****!!!! Meerkat has apparently taken over Freedom Life Insurance. We currently have funeral policies with Meerkat and my uncle passed on last week (26 September 2023). Meerkat was contacted and all the required documents were submitted for the claim. We are now told that the claim is sitting with the investigation department and they will only finish on the 23rd of October 2023. We are not given reasons as to why the claim is being investigated because they have all the documents. How are we supposed to bury our loved ones when they refuse to pay for our policies? When you ask for the matter to be escalated you are told that none of the managers are available only to find that the very consultant you were speaking to is also a manager (I called again to ask for the manager and they put me through to the same consultant).
