Why pay 2K+ for MA if pay procdures to
On the 1st December my daughter was booked for a dental procedure at Monte Vista hospital. I called Medihelp and I was informed by the IVR system that I would need to contact Denis.

I then called them an to enquire about the cost involved (wanted to know how much I need to pay in) an to inform them my daughter has an appointment at Monte Vista, I was not informed that it is not one of their network hospitals. They then requested motivation from the doctor which was supp**** and I was given authorisation.
My daughter then went in for the procedure and I later received a bill for R6500 which is just over 2K for dentist and just over 4K for the hospital. According to Medihelp website at the time 20% co-payment per admission if not pre-authorised, or for non-emergency admission or voluntary admission to a non-network hospital, I did not choose the hospital so I don't understand how this can be voluntary admission. Secondly the admission cost according to invoice I received is R1349.40. I don't understand why I am being requested to pay over R4000. Please don't refer me to Denis, as you are their client and I am yours. I want to know from Medihelp why I am expected to pay this amount
