Very disappointed, now it's borderline harassment with continuous threats...

Good day

I joined Medihelp 01.01.2011 by using the serices of a AON representative. Needless to say I was hugely surprised to find that not one but two of my accounts were not paid out by Medihelp.

Considering I paid R1926.00 per month on the Dimension Prime 2 Plan it was hightly embarressing to find that only a partial amount of my dental work that was done on 06.06.2016 of R181.21 was paid where the total amount was initially R1066,20...Dentist visits happen once a year.

Furthermore my Medical practitioner sent me for xrays (R1135,10) on my shoulder at a Hospital ...this too was not paid out as they had some excuse of insufficient funds from my "savings account"?

Considering the amount I paid every month this is beyond my understanding as I have dutifully paid them until 31 October 2016, and then they have the audacity to threaten me not once, but 3 times in a matter of 3 hours saying I owe them money? I used the money to pay the outstanding bills they failed to pay.

The bad service , sloppy explanations and the borderline harrassment is unwarrented and I havwve asked them to stop. I do feel they failed me as a client who aways paid them first of every month.

How and what do I have to do to notify them that I owe them nothing as they failed as a medical aid to provide a service .

Please assist.

Dear JMD1949

As explained during the telephonic conversation earlier today, you were registered on the Dimension Prime 2 benefit option. This option offers comprehensive private hospital cover with a savings account for day-to-day medical expenses. Once the available amount in your savings account has been depleted, you will be liable for payment of any outstanding amounts on accounts for day-to-day medical expenses.

It remains the member’s responsibility to select the risks to be covered and to choose a benefit option accordingly.

Please accept my apologies for the duplicate emails sent to you in error, which originated from a system error.

Kind regards
