Still waiting for my authorization number ...REALLY PATHETIC

I logged my complaint yesterday, today is the 8th. My husband needs to go in on the 12th, still no one has made contact with me. I mean really, does Medihelp really think everyone has to wait for them until they decide you can go for an operation to issue your authorization number. When I joined through ********** no one told me about the 1st year story, no they were more worried about having my bank details. Medihelp is 1st to collect the money but when you need to go in for operation there is stories. Please don’t tell me all medical aids have this, I have done my homework and spoke to few doctors and its only Medihelp that has this policy because Medihelp doesn’t want to pay…that is the reason. If I don’t get my authorization number by close of business today I am seeking legal advice from my lawyer. IT’S REALLY PATHETIC!!!

Dear potbelinda
You have been contacted with confirmation that Medihelp conducts an investigation into all applications for hospitalisation, medical procedures and chronic medication in order to determine the non-disclosure of information on a member’s medical history in the first year of membership. Consequently Medihelp investigated the reason for the hospitalisation request. You were informed of the fact that we obtained information not declared on your application form and that an appeal letter will need to be submitted.
The general practitioner will be submitting his medical questionnaire on Monday, after which we will have a feedback for you.
Kind regards
