Ridiculous fine print
My mom needs to go for a hip joint replacement - she was born with a malformation and now with her age the joint has given in and she can barely walk anymore. Upon requesting authorisation for the operation she was informed it will not be paid since the fine print says hip, knee and shoulder replacements will not be done in cases of wear and tear. She is on the "FLAGSHIP" of their options(dimension prime3), and this is a fine print??? The most probable reason for a joint replacement IS wear and tear and one of their best options doesn't cover it and hides it in he fine print? I feel that this is *********. I know the response is normally "you should read properly what is covered and what not", but not only is the clause ridiculous due to the nature of the need for joint replacements in general, but then they go ahead and hide it in the fine print.
