Refusal to pay account

On 28 January 2015 my 4 year old was really sick and the GP suspected it may be malaria. She requested blood tests in this regard. Normally, if a test is not paid for by Medihelp, the doctor as well as pathologists would warn you thereof and require private payment. Nobody informed me that these tests are NOT covered by Medihelp. In fact, the GP cannot understand why this test for a LIFE THREATENING disease is not covered. My 6 year old also fell sick in February and taken to emergency rooms where the same tests were requested and they too cannot understand the non payment. I have been with Medihelp for over 22 years and pay over R5000 a month and yet don't have coverage? This was not done for fun it was done as an emergency. Your contact center just says its is not covered but cannot show me where on your exclusions is this stated! This is just not acceptable. Time for me to move to Discovery. Medihelp you cant afford to lose anymore of your members after so many have been moved to GEMS.
