Principal member resignation - ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE

The poor service I have been receiving with poor, actually no communication to any of my queries is absolutely unacceptable.

I requested to resign from MediHelp Medical Aid on the 3rd of July. I stated my reasons and the urgency thereof. I have been taken from pillar to post. I started a new job on the 1st July 2024 and it’s compulsory for me to use their medical aid. I received my contract on the 3rd of which that is when I saw that I need to resign from my medical aid. Bear in mind apart from the dependent member/s, there is no information on how the principal member resigns and how long they need to serve on their website or member portal. I looked for 2024’s AGM to try get more information to no avail as suggested by the agent. I requested that I serve from the 3rd to the 3rd since that is when I submitted my resignation (even though I’d prefer to serve from the 1st till the 31st since I’ve already paid and it’ll be less of a hassle from both ends). I then added that I will pay for the extra 2 days that I am on the medical aid if needs be because I was told that I need to serve from the 1st till the end of the month (one calendar month). When I asked for the rules or where it states that for principal members, NO ONE could direct me to it. I was even told by one of the agents that it is an internal policy/ rule and I cannot get access to it. I went to the CMS rules which is linked from their website and it indicates that one can resign from the medical aid and the medical aid can impose for that member to serve for a month - 3 months depending on that the medical aid requests (obviously considering payroll as well). I then even asked that since their payroll isn’t closed yet, can I resign and if they want me to serve specifically till the 3rd of the next month that I do and I will pay for the extra 3 days that I’m on the medical aid and till today NO ONE HAS GOTTEN BACK TO ME! I’ve been calling since the 3rd, it is the 8th today and still not a single person has gotten back to me. I did say that if they need any supporting documents to let me know so that I can request them from HR to prove the urgency of my resignation as a principal member and still NOTHING! I asked if I can get a turn around time, I was told they aren’t sure. I asked who will be working on my case and I get told they cannot say but they can see that it is received. What I fear now is that they will suddenly draw up a rule or policy or principal members that was NOT THERE TO BEGIN with to try ensure that I serve until 31 August 2024 of which I CANNOT! Like I said to them before, I cannot be subjected to internal information that was never put to my attention.

Outraged is an understatement! I NEED THIS MATTER RESOLVED URGENTLY!
