Pre authorised what a joke.

On 1 December our daughter went into hospital for Cardio thoracic surgery on what we thought was a pre-approved procedure. A few days after the operation the surgeon advised that he had not been paid in full. This was not unexpected as surgeons are usually out of tariff accounts. The short payment was almost 80 %. On query the explanation was that the surgeon did not align his bill with the codes authorized. The Surgeon supp**** an amended account to Medihelp and without any consultation or communication Medihelp reversed the original payment to the doctor and cleaned out my savings account leaving me with no benefit for the remainder of the year. As it now stands I am out of pocket the entire cost of the operation with no savings. I have paid the surgeon in full. What is ridiculous is that the procedure was not covered by the core fund but was good enough to be paid for from my savings.
