I would like to report that up to today 5 September 2020, I have received no reply from Medihelp. The issue with the replacement of a metal crown on a tooth which had a porcelain crown which broke due to a fierce bite, especcially at night, are ongoing for allmost 3 years now. Every time I talk to Medihelp I am referred back to the dentist and then he writes a motivation and apply for the replacement again, and then it is turned down. My calls forvalmost 3 years have been handled by people from their call centre, who advised me what to do. The email which at last was handled by a qualified medically educated person, also send me back to my dentist. This medically educated person advised me to have an inplant and then put a crown onto the inplant. It is absolutely ridiculous. What is the use of a medical scheme, which does not communicate with either the patient or the doctor, to the point of af resolving the problem, but only have a standard answer of "declined" For 2 and a half year the call centre handled the applications. When I have waited out the postponements and their time was running out, the consultant told me that only "now" they can have a look at the xrays. On what grounds were the previous reactions on our application then made? And on replying to the medically educated persons advice, and my doctors umpteenth motivation, I was not answered by him, but just rudely told by a senior emplyee that Medihelp WILL NOT pay for the replacement of the crown. According to my dentist, which I am a patient of for ten years or more, there is no reason for not replacing the crown, but Medihelp tells me there is too little bone for a crown, but I can have an inplant in that "too little" bone, which I have to pay for myself, and then they will crown the inplant and pay for it. Am I just stupid, or is this absolutely ridiculous?
Best regards,
