Poor communication; poor service

To whom it may concern,

I find it rather concerning that my brother’s medical aid has been terminated for an outstanding R42.00, when the premiums have been paid timeously every month.

What I find even more concerning is that I was sent an email confirming that I now had third party access on the 16th of February 2017, Medihelp is well aware that I am responsible for the payment of this account, yet at no point thereafter was I informed of the arrears of R42.00. I am unsure as to why, in said email I was not informed of the outstanding amount as the payee of the account, at this time.

I now find myself in a situation where my brother needs emergency treatment by a dentist, and I must pay for it out of pocket when I have paid the premiums for his cover.

In addition to the above, I requested escalate the matter only to be told that they would not be in a position to assist. I find this completely unacceptable.

Kindly advise a way forward as a matter of urgency.

Regards,

Lebogang
