Overseas cover what a joke.

Our daughter was in Australia for 7 months, during the first 90 day period she had an epileptic incident and required hospitalization and transport by ambulance and visits to both a GP and a neurologist. I kept her on the scheme believing that she would be covered for the first 90 days. Every reason why not to pay was raised by medihelp, in the end I paid the medical expenses just short of R25,000 as my daughter was handed over to a debt collector as the accounts were not paid. As a direct result of Medihelp refusing to pay the accounts I took her off the scheme on 31 October 2019. She has now returned and has now been slapped with a 3 month general benefit waiting period because she is epileptic. The excuse was she has been off the scheme for more than 3 months, I app**** for her to rejoin in February and was told no they are not prepared to let her join until March. I paid all her medication costs while in Australia. Bottom line Medihelp expects me to pay for four months no benefit, and then pay for three month more no benefit in addition to all the cost during her stay in Australia that the scheme should have covered.

Hiding behind rules is an easy excuse, when you want to avoid responsibility.
