Not such a great Medical Aid to be on!

**Warning to people who are considering to join this medical aid fund**

The service level is not as great as perceived and the claims take forever to reimburse after submission, as they only have three dates on which they apparently process payments or refund you.

So a Dr's claim dd 6 August 2021 in the (mere) amount of R500.00 takes them up until the 26th of August (so I hear) to reimburse their members.

Not sure what would happen if you really need their services on an emergency level, as the concern is that its almost 3 weeks since the initial claim was submitted to them.

Not the first time either as this as I was informed from Head of Operations is "standard practice and procedure" in Medihelp.

My Pet is wit Dotsure and her claim is reimbursed within 24 hours of the submission??

I used to be a member of Discovery and even they would take between 24 - 48 hours (at most) to reimburse funds.

Please do your homework when you switch over to a Medical Fund as the fine print is always the problem.

Not a good Medical Aid, as they don't have any "benefits to members from a Vitality point of view. They don't reward you for living healthier nor do they care.
