Medihelp worst medical aid

I would like to warn anyone against Medihelp medical aid. I am a practicing GP and has been with them for 15 years claiming for 1 ceaserian section, small eye operation and a ct scan in 15 years. We are a family of four and we are not on the highest option available, so i do understand that there will be exclusions on alot of things. My have wife had to go for a serious sinus surgery that caused hearing loss and difficulty breathing. The ENT specialist has written two motivational letters and my wife has phoned three times to find out if we can go on to an higher plan as there is an exclusion for any sinus surgery. No response or reply or any help given. We appeasled to them again to find out if they will not consider paying at least towards the hospital portion of quote as our plan states unlimited hospital visits?!! No response or feedback!! Written an email to them stating my frustration and considering cancelling my 15 year membership, only to receive an SMS to state that my membership has been terminated as of next month. No phone call not even an email to hear me out or respond. No i am not even worth anyone's time or effort, my worth with Medihelp is an computer generated sms!!!! So please people avoid this Medical aid you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. You are nothing to them than just a tick list or a number! i will advise all my patients to cancel there Medical aid and move to different Medical aid.
