Medihelp. The worst medical aid ever!!!

After being authorised to have dental procedures performed, I went ahead and did the procedure. It now comes back to bite me in the rear. They are not going to pay the bill, which Denis authorised, due to no savings. I have been with this medical aid for years and this is how they treat me. They will never get a recommendation from me ever again and I will slander them forever. Thanks MEDIHELP for making me R13000 poorer!!!!

The format of the authorisation letter was laid out in such a manner leading to believe that a shortfall potion of R464-40 would be payable for my account. Nowhere in the authorisation letter did it indicate available savings and no one from your institution took the time to look into my account and advise me of my savings, the shortfalls and the implications of the procedure. In other words, Denis and Medihelp, cover their side with jargon that is convenient for them. I find your authorisation letter very misleading, with insufficient information pertaining to the member. Wording your letter, only benefits your organisation and does not take your members into regard. In your closing - I trust the above information suffices. I assure you that the Scheme is not indifferent to the needs or circumstances of its members. However, it is vital that the Rules of the Scheme are upheld, to promote and maintain effective and fair management as far as the granting of benefits is concerned. The information does not suffice, does not take the members needs into consideration, upholds their interest in the Rules of the Scheme and do not maintain fair management. You have promoted dissatisfaction, incompetence and abuse of membership.
