Medihelp, the money hungry beast!

As most families, Covid has had a huge financial impact on our lives, and even though I have been pleading with Medihelp since May for some sort of relief, they just advised me that they cannot assist me in anyway. We had then pulled all our cents together and made payments monthly even though we were not earning a salary. On the 29th of August I received an email that says they will give us 3 months relief which will END on the 31st of August! We landed up missing one payment, because we just did not have the funds. After trying to explain our situation with Medihelp and receiving absolutely no assistance they went ahead to suspend our membership. (taking into account we have only used the medical aid once for which they did not even cover the full amount of the doctors visit) We then went ahead to cancel our membership.

Needless to say, we have now been handed over for the outstanding payment. In all honestly, I would rather deal with lawyers than deal with their rude and unhelpful debtors department!
