Medihelp is just terrible.

Medihelp really is useless.

The ladies and gentleman I have delt with in the authorization department I give a 5 star rating but the rest not even a 1. I joined Medihelp, disclosed that I have an autoimmune disease, and that I might be admitted in the next 12 months for treatment. I have a flair up and my doctor decides a plasma exchange is the best treatment at the moment. got authorization under the auto immune disease then the authorization gets pulled back I need a whole list of things to send the authorization department for reviewing, did that. 2 days no feedback. A full week later they let me know that its being sent for reviewing with the clinical department, well what a surprise now my medical aid has been suspended because a debit order did not go through although I arranged to do an EFT every month.... my payments has not been allocated and the authorization is rejected. A whole week and 2 days later I can barely see or walk and MEDIHELP just does not care, are they only going to give authorization when I am completely disabled or blind??

This is really unacceptable, MS is a PMB condition but then the treatment the doctor advises cant be authorized, and they need to decide if you need the treatment??? Should a parson be dead before you give authorization??

If my eye sight does not return to what it was like before the flair up I will hold Medihelp responsible.
