Medihelp does not help
Out of 1180 reviews you have received 824 1-star ratings. I wonder why? Could it be that you do not care about anything except your bottom line?
I have type 2 diabetes and almost died from its complications. I have been through the DoH's protocol and do not fit the pattern of the ordinary patient. Now they are refusing to cover world-recognised next-line treatment for me and others like me.
If you read the protocol carefully, no mention is made for supply and coverage of basic glucometers and glucosticks. Needless to say they refuse to even cover these essentials. They are following the letter, but not the spirit, of the law.
Rather go to D1sc0very who does cover these.

19 Apr 2024, 12:30I have just received their newsletter "Thrive!" issue 5.
They say: "Your health is our #1 priority"! What a joke. They say they are just refusing to pay for my diabetes medication because the DoH Primary Healthcare protocol does not cover it. Of course it is not covered because I am on secondary/tertiary care as a difficult patient to treat. All people are unique and need to be treated as such. They say they are not over-riding my doctor but are just refusing to pay, not denying me the opportunity to pay for it myself.
They are only interested in their cash, not my health. They are not interested in meeting my needs unless I am cheap. My proposed medication is actually cheaper than Insulin, so they are being stupid.
