If you want the WORST Dental Cover in history, please go with Medihelp. I had to pay cash for my daughters procedure in December 2020. The doctors rooms called the med aid and was told, no authorisation was needed. but this, we found out after the procedure, was not the case, so we got penalised 20% I immediately submitted the claim, of which on R200 plus minus was paid from the fund. My total bill was R4200. I had to pay the rest myself for the Dentist. Now, for the Anaesthetist, i had to fork out cash too. Told to submit the claim. It has now been 4 months - not even a mail or a note or a call, just nothing. So if you want to be out of money, go with this medical aid. You might save R500 against other, much better medical aids, but guess what, you will pay in thousands more. I am fed up and lost all hope here. I will be leaving this medical aid asap. Absolutely disgusted with the service received. Waste of precious money!
