Medical aid? What a joke!!!

If you search Trigeminal Neuralgia on Google, it will tell you that it is the MOST painful health condition and requires either Tegretol (used for convulsions) or similar pills OR surgery. Now, Medihelp tells me, this condition is not covered under PMB but when the Neurosurgeon suggests surgery, the Dr is not contracted to them and the hospital is not on their list, I have to co-pay 35%!!! Why in heaven's name do I have a medical aid then???
