Medical aid misleading

I decided to start a medical aid, registered 2 months ago with Medihelp (hospital plan with minimum day to day benefits. Because I have not been on a medical aid for so long, there is 3 months waiting period. Which means you will still pay the 3 months with no benefits. My benefits were supposed to kick in from 1 January 2025. Luckily for me another Medihelp member (my daughter which is to have a baby in March informed me that the medical aid will no longer use the hospital in our town. I will need to drive 2.5hrs to the nearest hospital if I need treatment. They waisted my time, money and even deducted another premium on the higher fees for this year, just to cover the 3 months, although I cancelled them. Now my bank account is in arrears. Why did they approved my plan option on my application is the new that they will not cover the hospital when my benefits kicks in. How do I get my 3 x months money back to find a new medical aid.
