Hospitalisation for my child Medihelp is heartless and a *******

<p>I've added my Son on my medical Aid ********** in February, I've been with Medihelp since i've started working in 2014. and i couldn't add any of my Kids due to finances, once i've settle my Finances decided to add him. He started having cramps in his stomach, and as a mother the fisrt thing was get him to the Doctor as he was in servere pain the Doctor gave him some Meds, a Few weeks later he was severly in pain again, and this Time the doctor Decided he should be admitted as a matter of Urgency, He used to have some Stains on his underware but for me this was cause by him not wiping correctly,(he got reprimaded which i feel bad about now after knowing) i've never thought this can be life threatening. as i've never heard of a condition called Encopresis,until the Doctor said that when he was admitted. Miraculously, after he was Discharged, Medihelp is running Investigations, and then Boom, they are not paying for his Hospitalisation. i'm now sitting with Bills over R 35000 and still pilling up as Doctors call me 1 by 1. their reasoning is i was supposed to tell them. really? when? how? i didn't even know this is a condition that needs to be reported, i mean it was a few days between him being Diagnosed and Hospitalised my Priority was getting my son better before things get worse, Worse, after cancelling him with immediate effect, they still took his subscribtion. so you are actually in business to protect yourself? we're just walking ATM Machines where you just take money and add a lot of stress when you should be helping? how do you suggest i pay for all this Medical bills when your still busy billing me for a person you've cancelled? And you still have a nerve to send me an Email saying i must Re-Apply for him? how does this Medical Aid help me if i must stress like this, log complains when you are supposed to pay? its like youre a Hawks company that looks for all the reasons why you should not pay. but always the first to deduct your subscription when its my Turn to pay. I don't have this kind of money to pay a hospital bill of R19-000 of a Bed? This is a Joke or a nighmare seriously.</p>
