Don't Ever Have Financial Troubles With Medihelp They Don't Care and Will Take You for Your Last Cent!!!

With this Medical aid you are just a number. When my financial circumstances change and I couldn't afford my tarrifs anymore they refused to drop me to a ***** plan even though it was the 2nd of January and could drop me down if they wanted to. Then they told me no they can't but can cancel my subscription and re apply but I will have a 3 month waiting period after I have been with them since 2014 and have a chronic condition. I told them I would have to change medical aids immediately as I have to have my kids covered which I did now they want January's payment from me event hough they know I cannot afford it. Absolutely Pathetic service to say the least. I went from always recommending them to warning people not to use them overnight. Very dissapted in this medical scheme and advise everyone rather to try a different medical aid.

So I received a mail from Medihelp today demanding payment of my membership fees after I wanted to drop to a lower plan as I couldn't afford it. The Scheme still is not caring about the financial situation that I'm faced with and not being able to afford it. I will make it my mission to make people aware on every Platform I can find that if something happens and you cannot afford the schemes membership rates, we'll too bad for you not our problem is the attitude u receive. I See the scheme has even done this to Pensioners in other complaints. Pathetic to say the least. I advise everyone to stay away and rather use a smaller medical scheme as here u are only as good as your money. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
