Don't Choose Medihelp

I pay Medihelp every month to ensure my family and I are covered in an emergency. We’re on the Medivital hospital plan, which is supposed to cover exactly that - emergency situations. But when I actually needed an emergency operation, they refused to pay, even after receiving a detailed letter from my doctor explaining the urgency.

On top of that, I pay extra every month to be treated at our local hospital. When I submitted the claim to Gap Cover, even they confirmed it was Medihelp’s responsibility to cover the cost - not theirs.

To make things worse, their strategy seems to be delay and avoid. After countless phone calls and emails, you’re left just hoping someone competent will actually help you.

So what exactly am I paying for? Their polished marketing promises peace of mind and reliable cover, but when it really matters, they disappear.

Absolutely disgraceful. If you’re considering Medihelp - don’t. Go somewhere else before you end up in the same position: paying for help that never comes.
