Does not help clients who wants to help themselves
Medihelp excludes the treatment of alcoholism on the plan that I'm on. When I inquired about that, a lady phoned me and said that she would see what she could find. An hour later, I received an email, containing the part of the benefit brochure that I had already read, and stating that although Medihelp does not stand unsympathetic to my situation, exceptions could not be made. Point. End of discussion. No further offer of help. I was not expecting my situation to be treated as an exception, but merely that someone could tell me more about an option that includes the treatment of said condition. More-over, anti-depressants were prescribed to help treatment of condition, but Medihelp also refused to pay that as part of chronic medication. So in short, my acute benefits are already used up fairly early each benefit year because it does not pay as chronic, and Medihelp does not help treat alcoholism. Therefore, if you are an alcoholic that wants to help himself, Medihelp will not help you.
