Doctor admitted for meningitis but refuse to give hospital admission
<p>My sister went to the doctor who suspects she has meningitis thus sent her to hospital to be admitted for further tests.... after multiple calls and waiting endlessly for the call centre to answer we are still waiting for authourisationt....the doctor has been to see her and would like to send her in for a wever we are all sitting around waiting for a pre authourisation..meningitis is no joke and if anything happens to her because we had to wait for this ****** medical aid they will honestly not see the end of it from me..... </p>

The telephonic conversations with yourself and your sister on 20 July 2016 refer.
As confirmed with your sister, who is also the member, she is within the first year of membership and it is Medihelp’s policy to investigate all benefit requests during the first year of membership, to ensure that all information was declared on the application form. Authorisation is subject to investigation for possible pre-existing conditions.
The investigation was completed and an SMS was sent to your sister on 19 July 2016 at 13:22 confirming the hospital authorization.
