DO NOT JOIN. LOOK FOR A MORE ETHICAL AND TRANSPARENT MEDICAL AID THAT CARE

I would not recommend joining. Nothing but rejections by a Medical Aid that doesn't really care. Even though Covid test benefits and the pertinent cover is displayed on their website, they refuse to pay for a Covid test required for Hospital Admission, citing its from PMB Benefits (yet their website states from Core Benefits). Then they refuse as the package you're on, doesn't provide this cover. Yet their website states its a benefit on ALL benefit options. They also state in a letter that its only for high risk patients. My Surgeon highlighted my Oncology and High Risk status. After a number of mails back and forth, still not good enough for Medihelp who refuse to pay for the Covid test. Yet. one of their personnel in Authorisations telephonically advised that this was incorrect and Medihelp DO pay. They pay for the first two tests, and a third if positive. If negative on the 3rd, its for the Member's account. Even though that call would have been recorded on Medihelp's side, they refute that and are emphatic THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR A COVID TEST, even though it's a pre-requisite for Hospital Admission for impending surgery.

I assume they will not even cover the vaccine when it comes time for that! Very disappointed in their attitudes and haste to dismiss, with the added tone of condescension and disdain, that a Member might even dare challenge them on their false adverted "benefits" and cover.
