Debit order? Power of Attorney? What's the story?

I wrote in to medihelp asking them not to debit my account for the subscription i pay. I sent this request through on the 20th of September 2016. On the 23rd of September 2016, I received an email confirming that the debit order had been cancelled. The first subscription was due 01 November 2016. I did an EFT on 31 October 2016, and sent through the proof of payment. On 01 November 2016, the debit order went off. I sent through an email on 02 November 2016-to which I received an automated email advising that my query was being attended to. I called through later that day, and was assisted by a young lady who asked that my brother complete the third party access permission form. The form was completed and sent through on Thrusday, 03 November 2016. No feedback. I called in on 07 November 2016 (call ref T ********** 2) and spoke to Dayalin. He asked that I send through proof of the debit order as well as the eft proof of payment to ********** I did this on the same day. I called in today (ref ********** 9) and spoke to a fellow by the name of Waylin (who was very rude to say the least), who then told me that I need to send in copies of my brothers ID (this was now a first-neer has this been requested of me as the payee f said subscription at ANY point of my dealings-nor was this requested when I called through yesterday, and nor was it requested when I initially asked for the debit order to be cancelled). I told this fellow that I was calling for feedback on a debit order matter and at no point was this requested of me. I asked to speak to his line manager, and was placed on hold-only for him to tel me that the line manager would not speak to me as I did not have power of attorney. What. On. Earth.

How does anything ever get done there? Not once have a recevied the same story from two people. And all I want-is for YOUR error in debiting my account to be rectified. Not the runaround.

My. Goodness.

Dear llear

Due to an administrative oversight, the debit order for the recovery of Mr Tsebe’s subscription for November 2016 was only cancelled on 1 November 2016, although our letter dated 22 September 2016 and email dated 23 September 2016 confirmed the cancellation. We apologise for the error and for any inconvenience caused as a result thereof.

Mr Tsebe’s subscription account currently indicates a credit balance and the credit amount will be refunded to you with our next payment run date, 10 November 2016 and will be available for withdrawal within 3 to 5 working days thereafter.

A more detailed letter will follow regarding your enquiries.

Kind regards
