Covid-19 test *******

Our daughter required a Covid-19 test to be done before the hospital would admit her for planned surgery. The hospitalisation and surgery were preauthorized. She had the test done at the hospital pathology lab two days prior to her being admitted so she would have the results prior to admission. Operation done all good except Medihelp refuses to pay for Covid-19 test as it was done prior to her being admitted. Is this not part of the authorised hospital service as the two are linked and the hospital will not admit a patient unless they have been tested negative? When one forks out R100,000 a year for membership one expects these sort of things to be covered as it is with most of the other medical aid schemes.
