Congratulations on *****ing customers of 6 year over!

My husband and I were both unemployed for 6 months. The last 3 months I missed the payments on the medical aid. I got a request from the debtors department to repay an amount of R5226 at the end of July. I informed them that I've only started working again as of the 24th and would only get a salary at the end of August and requested an amendment of the agreement to include 3 repayments instead of 2 (as I won't be able to make payment before end of August). To which I received no response. Another email requesting feedback to no avail. I called on 3 separate occasions but was told that the illusive Hannelie is not in the office and not to bother leaving a message as she prefers emails (which she never responds to). Another 2 emails on the subject with no response. At this time it was the end of August and I made the payment as requested of R5226. At this point I started getting SMS's informing me that I have not made the entire payment. I phoned the call center and emailed the debtors department again, twice, with the proof of payment requesting feedback as I have paid the amount as stipulated in the agreement (that was never bothered to be amended). I received an SMS that my membership has been cancelled. To which I've sent another 2 emails to your debtors department again. They informed me that they will send the information to another department to decide whether to reinstate my membership. They sent me an SMS to inform me that it's been declined. I don't understand how much more I could've done. Other than making the payments monthly, which was impossible as we didn't have an income. The SMS was even kind enough to request that I can reapply. Like hell! I've kept all emails sent to your debtors department, which I will send to you by request. I've always considered Medihelp to be a great medical aid and even recommended it to a couple of people. I'm really disappointed that I'm not able to continue with the scheme. That being said - I know you are not in the position, nor do you care to help your (ex) customers, who has been on the medical aid for 6 years, when you have situations they cannot control nor predict. Seeing that I've paid the R5226 in vain at the end of August, please reimburse me this amount. It would go a great deal in order to support my family who has already suffered a tremendous financial loss due to unemployment. And to put the cherry on top, your membership certificate states that my membership was cancelled as of end June. Even though my last payment was end of August. Which means no medical aid will cover my current pregnancy nor the birth. So you *****ed me over once again. Well done!

No response from any consultants, no apologies or explanations as to what happened. Only a membership certificate that states that my membership has now been cancelled as of end July, which still helps nothing at all. No medical aid will cover my pregnancy nor birth if the gap in membership is more than 90 days. You might have read this somewhere.... seeing that it's your business to know. I find it strange that the reason my membership was cancelled was that I didn't sign the agreement, as I've asked for it to be amended. Yet, I still get SMS correspondence from you on a monthly basis reminding me to make payment "as per our agreement." Please stop sending me SMS's, emails and mail. Unless it is the inform me that you'll be refunding my last useless payment to you, or that you'd cover my pregnancy and birth (as I'm going to have to go to a state hospital called Kalafong, so looking forward to that!! Or sell my house to pay for private care, and its really a reality, not a joke) or that you'll amend the certificate to end August as this was my last payment. Or of course explain how your staff never reply to 5 emails and I get blamed and kicked off of my medical aid. I trust that you will find the above to be in order.

Well, the membership certificate for end August won't help either, seeing that it's the last day of November. Oh well, there's more time wasted with no solution.
