Chronic Medication rejected

After reading the members complaint below regarding chronic medication being rejected by Medihelp I would also like to add the next complaint: My doctor submitted a request for some of my medication to be listed as chronic (as it is chronic): NO SURPRISE MEDIHELP RECECTED!!! I contacted them 3 times regarding, and all 3 times there was a different excuse?? First contact: My plan does not accommodate chronic medication. Seriously?? Second contact: My plan does cover chronic medication, but according to the consultant the medication prescribed by the dr. was not the right medication for the condition it was prescribed for. Well it is working for exactly that condition! I guess one can skip the step where you need to see a qualified dr. to evaluate your condition? Only generic medication is covered. I had SEVERE side effects from the generics. But hey no problem there, rather feel like your nerve endings are set on fire!! and take the generics as this is the only Medihelp is willing to pay (IF NOT REJECTED FROM THE WORD GO!! as this seems to be their first go to) -Third contact: None of the above was mentioned. The medicine will only be covered once my count is 15!!!! Normal count is below 4.5 to 5 mine almost being double. But hey lets push it to 4 times the normal count before Medihelp will come to the table.

With this medical-aid one goes from being angry, to being frustrated to being totally and utterly discouraged!!
