Absolutely pathetic medical aid!
Absolutely pathetic excuse of a medical aid. I have been with Discovery for many years prior to moving to Medihelp without ANY problems whatsoever. No uninterruptions. No missed payments. Nothing. I need to go into hospital for a procedure tomorrow, yet Medihelp is refusing to give me an authorisation number due to the fact that I have not been with them for a full year yet. They need to "investigate" me first. What absolute bull**** is this? Had I known this from the start, I would not have moved from Discovery. I have taken time off work, missed deadlines due to the fact that I need to go to Hospital and now I am being told that I will not be able to get an authorisation number. Absolutely pathetic medical aid. Not what I expected. Stay away!!

My question is this. How do you define what's urgent and what's not? What falls within the "urgent" category at Medihelp?
That response made the hair on my body stand up, to be honest, and isn't exactly what a client who needs to have an urgent medical procedure done, wants to hear.
