MDS Collivery "service" really sucks.

Parcel collected in somerset west (cpt) on10 March 2022 as overnight. When it arrived at the hub, it was measured and weighed on the "magic scale" and found to 4.1KG when the weighbill claimed 4KG. Parcel was put on hold. (billing showed clearly that sms status would be billed for which I paid R6.86 excl for. Although the tariff requested was overnight, NO sms arrived, and only received an email sent at 17h03 advising the parcel was on hold - Cape Town, pending immediate payment of shortpaid amount. I actually had an active account with this courier company, but they chose to hold the parcel in cape town, rather than send it on to EL. and "hold" it pending payment. Why did the company wait from 12h14, when it was collected, right up to 17h03 to send an email. I don't sit at my desk all day. I am a computer tech. I paid the shortfall around 9pm, and the parcel will now only leave cape town 11 march . Cost was R523.48 with 64.80 for insurance and 6.86 for sms updates. shortpaid by R99.82 for the 0.1 kg extra, and now they want me to pay in around another sum for a saturday delivery. Else I get my parcel on Monday only, which is too late for the purpose for which it was collected using the next day service.. This is not service. This company doesn't deserve a place in SA freight services at all. Their methods are draconian, their common sense is depleted and theirs management is likely lacking severely. Keep the bad reports flowing people. They wont be around much longer.
