Frustrated by a delivery service

In March 2018, my mother lost her mobile phone in a taxi. The timing was extremely bad since she had been recently diagnosed with cancer. The inability to communicate with her forced me to send her my iPhone with a Telkom simcard. This was send through MDS using their agency in Clearwater Mall. The assistant was aware that this was a mobile phone as the packaging was done in-store. The package was send on the 20th and was to have been delivered on the 22nd. On the 22nd, I was informed that the package had not yet been delivered. When I contacted MDS, they informed me that the package was signed for by Simphiwe. The package was addressed to my mother Noweza Cubeka. Simphiwe no longer lived in the property after my mother kicked him out for doing drugs. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that not only did Simphiwe sign for the package but he also sold it for R150 I contacted MDS to highlight their mistake and they promised to confirm with the delivery driver. Ever since, I have had a frustrating experience dealing with this company. Eventually, someone contacted me while driving and demanded that I send a claim. I asked them to forward me the details for a claim as I couldnt take down the details as I was driving. Reluctantly, the individual agreed but they never bothered. So, at the moment, I paid for a delivery of a package. Not only did I love +-R125 for the delivery of a package, but the package was given to someone else without bothering to ask for the individual the package was addressed to. The phone is the iPhone 5s which had been linked to my phone for safety. The sim card was to have been cancelled by Telkom
