Worst experience EVER buying a car!!!

Good Day

I thank you both for your service and time, however, I cannot say the same about Judy Turner.

Her manner in which she addressed both my husband and I is something from the dark ages. As a new customer I feel that my husband and I should have been treated with courteousy and respect. We should be walking away from this deal with a smile on our face and a skip in our step. Instead, she left us with a bitter taste and a feeling that we want nothing to do with your establishment.

If it was not for Thaheer, we would have cancelled this deal without blinking an eye. Toyota has been hounding my husband to purchase a vehicle from them, but we chose McCarthy Suzuki Kenilworth as our dealer of choice because of the welcome we received from Thaheer. His calm, patient manner was a great help to us. He was courteous and friendly and he made us feel as if we were important. Such professionalism is rare nowadays. His charismatic character and friendly disposition towards his clients instantly makes him approachable. This allowed us to discuss our needs and seek advice freely.

He does not hesitate to go the extra mile, and served us with dedication and care. We believe this is very important in providing first-class service. He is a fine asset to Suzuki and we believe that his performance will continue to impress clients. We admired his ingenuity in creating a wonderful and most memorable experience.

Thaheer, you deserve high praise. You kept a cool head, and kept to your word, and we thank you for that. Congratulations on taking responsibility, and for leaving a lasting impression.

Although we had this wonderful experience with Thaheer, we cannot forget the treatment received from Judy. She needs to learn client etiquette and need to understand the basic steps in answering a telephone. She did not greet, and her voice over the phone does not make her approachable and immediately puts you on the defensive. To me it sounded as if she is critical by nature and does not realise that she is hurting the feelings of another person.

Presenting a professional image, both in person and on the telephone, is very important. Taking care of your customers over the telephone and making them feel well informed and appreciated is essential. Whether you are the front office receptionist or a CEO. I could not see her face, but I could imagine her body language. A picture paints a thousand words. She needs to take the time to speak clearly, slowly and in a cheerful, professional voice. She sounded impatient and irritable as if I was bothering her. She was not very forthcoming and sounded as if she wanted to get the telephone conversation over and done with. It's not what she said so much, but the manner in which she said it. She truly made me feel as if I was unimportant and that our business was not of real concern to her. It felt as if she was doing me a favour by answering my call.

Besides her attitude, she was very insistent that we work around her time. When she advised me about the requirements needed to collect our vehicle, it was said in a manner which really offended me (reminded me of ******). When I advised her that we were working and that we might not be there by 15:30pm, she said that that is the time she works until and if we are not there then we will have to wait. I advised that we will have to reschedule for Saturday, her response: "I don't work on Saturdays". This was said so abruptly that it rendered me speechless. She proceeded to say that we will have to collect the car on Monday before 15:30pm, making sure that we have all the original FICA requirements as she will not allow us to have our vehicle.

Although we received our vehicle with alot of whoo haa from Thaheer, the thought that an employee would take the chance of handling any client in this manner just leaves me speechless. Nazeem has apologised, but it just feels hollow. It happened, and no matter what anybody says, Judy's attitude has left a mark. It almost feels as if my husband and I was discriminated against. If this was not an ethnic or cultural issue why the attitude? Everybody else was friendly and helpful, why not her?

The excitement of our new vehicle was tarnished with the manner in which Judy handled a simple request. She needs to take a step back and try to see things from our point of view.

Because of this bad experience, I advised Nazeem that I would not refer any relation or friend to purchase from Suzuki. This was really the most disappointing and unsatisfying experience that I have ever had from a car dealership.

Regards
